How we research VPN and Smart DNS services

The evidence behind an assessment

The current directory uses AI-assisted research from provider websites, support guides and published app listings. Each assessment links to its sources and records when facts were checked. We separate a documented feature from a result that would require testing.

We have not performed paid-subscription, speed, streaming or leak tests for these assessments. We do not publish invented scores, personal experiences or testimonials. Suggested checks in a review describe what a reader can evaluate; they are not our test results.

What we compare

We look at the supported devices, the intended task, connection limits and subscription terms. We explain where an app-specific guide is needed. Promotional monthly equivalents can hide the upfront commitment, so readers should check the full charge and renewal terms before subscribing.

Provider claims about privacy and performance deserve scrutiny. Linking to a claim does not independently verify it. If we cannot confirm a current fact, we leave it unconfirmed instead of filling the gap with an old number.
