StrongDNS

A Smart DNS service to investigate for supported TVs and media devices.

Consider for Devices that allow a supported DNS configuration

Facts checked November 5, 2026

Before you decide

StrongDNS is a DNS setup option, not a substitute for VPN encryption. The provider still publishes sign-up and setup information, but some help pages describe older hardware. Confirm the current instructions for your device before paying. Our legacy affiliate route returned an error, so this listing links to the provider directly.

A fit when

Your device supports the documented DNS settings.
Support confirms your required channel and network are compatible.

Look elsewhere when

You need an encrypted tunnel for public Wi-Fi.
You only have an old setup article and cannot confirm present support.

What the provider offers

DNS configuration
The service publishes device setup instructions for TVs, computers and routers.
Separate from a VPN
A DNS setting does not add a VPN tunnel to the device connection.
